Kindergarten

The kindergarten child is at an age of great discovery, spending every day exploring their independence and thriving on learning through a variety of experiences and activities.

The curriculum for our before- and after-school kindergarten program is based on current educational theories—including Ontario’s Pedagogy for the Early Years (“How Does Learning Happen?”)—and best practices focusing on each child’s interests and needs. Following this curriculum, our educators continually conduct observations on all the children to help guide their program plans.

Before or after their day at school, kindergartners come to CBCC to engage in activities and experiences that enhance their social, emotional, motor, physical, and language skills through things such as board games, gym/outdoor games, and crafts.
