Our toddler program is geared to fostering a toddler’s independence through play-based learning. The children enhance their cognitive, fine motor, and gross motor through a variety of experiences and activities.
The program is based on weekly observations that are conducted on the children so that these skills can be enhanced through specifically planned experiences. Our overarching curriculum is based on current educational theories—including “How Does Learning Happen?”, Ontario’s Pedagogy for the Early Years—and best practices focusing on each child’s interests and needs. The educators also do child development checklists on each child to help identify areas of success as well as areas where the child may need extra attention.
The toddler classroom is spacious and inviting, which allows the children to play independently and also has opportunity for peer and adult interaction.
